Vince Noir

Character: Vince Noir [info]mowgli_inflares
Canon: The Mighty Boosh
General: Well, he's arrived in the village. He's found Naboo, which was a huge relief followed by disappointment since Naboo doesn't have any potions or lotions to get them both back to Dalston. He's met some animals (and their vampire keeper), which made him feel more at home. Vince finagled a custom-made (and magically binding, though Vince doesn't know that bit) mirror out of Annatar, which he is pretty excited about but will probably have forgotten by the time the mirror is made. Mostly Vince has been pretending not to miss Howard and scheming up kind of silly ideas for trying to replace his moody counterpart. The closest so far has been Topher, whom Vince quite likes, though he still may not fully understand that Rock Band is a game, not an actual rock band. He might be plotting a glam rock revolution.
Needs Threads With: Anybody. Vince is a social butterfly: without social interaction (and sartorial adoration) he withers and dies.

Vince Noir was going to be late to work again.  It wasn't his fault: a pair of swinger lemurs had propositioned him and since going for the hot primate three-way had never been high on his to-do list, he'd been forced to take the lemurs out for coffee so he could let them down gently.  The lemurs had been disappointed, but they'd understood.

It was a bit incredible, Vince mused as he left the cafe, how often amazing things happened to him on what should have been a very brief walk down the stairs from the flat where he lived to the shop where he worked.  Howard, of course, would already have opened up the Nabootique and would probably have a few words to say to Vince about timeliness.  As far as Vince was concerned, timeliness was alright for people like Howard, but it wasn't as if Howard had to worry about things like morning skincare and style and lemurs.

He paused for a moment to admire his reflection in a nearby shop window.  His hair looked good, as usual, and the pure textile joy known as the mirrorball suit had definitely been the way to go on such a sunny day.  Vince liked shiny things and the shimmery jumpsuit was as shiny as you could get, short of diving into a glitter pond.  Immediately his brain cell was sidetracked from the lemur story with images of glitter ponds where you could go fishing for sequined hand bags: genius!

Reluctantly turning from his own reflection, Vince realized that while he'd been checking himself out the street had changed.  Puzzled, but not panicked, Vince checked his conscience.  He didn't remember messing with any of Naboo's potions or spells...

This was probably Howard's fault, then.  That was how things usually worked.

Vince sighed and started off down the street, wondering how he was going to sort this mess out.

This is Vince Noir: Rock 'n Roll Star.  Alright?   I'm out at the moment, probably pulling shapes over some hot, tasty beats, but if you leave a message I'll ring you later.  Cheers!
